The Studio

Pretty Inviting Design Studio, located in Little Rock, Arkansas, designs and prints customized, imaginative stationery, invitations, and other paper goods for every occasion. Whether you are seeking a birth announcement or an identity for your business, I can offer the expertise and creativity to match your vision.

Good design communicates in ways that nothing else can. My philosophy is to provide a passionate approach to design and emphasize effective concepts specifically tailored for each client. I believe in well-thought-out, simple solutions for an appealing end product. I define my style as classic, charming and endearing. What can I say, I like making pretty things!

Above all, I do it in a GREEN way. As a designer for a paper studio, I’m looking for ways to conserve energy, use recycled paper, limit useless printing and ink, and reducing other wasteful resources. In addition to using green business principles and incorporating sustainable work practices as a guide, it’s also my job to inspire others through the work created.

The Designer

Hi there. I'm Carolyn. And this is truly a labor of love. I like to say it started many years ago, around age 8, when I carefully crafted my own novels on a IBM WheelWriter typewriter then filled every page with illustrations using my trusty pack of 96-count colored pencils. See, I've always loved to draw and write. I combined the two in college when I majored in both journalism and art/graphic design. I've worked for a number of publications and projects over the past five years and to this day, still have an affinity for finding solutions to the most cumbersome design issues like white space and trapped captions. I'm a true dinker in every sense of the word.

I'm happy to say Pretty Inviting is my home studio. This is my place to share my craft and ideas with others by designing invitations, announcements, stationery and all things pretty and inviting.
